Bladz and Rayz...the beginning. In January of 2001 Bladz & Rayz became the reality of a dream that Jenny Muccino had in mind when she came as a young cosmetoligist to Eastern North Carolina in 1990. She built a business that relied on the trust and relationships developed with her loyal customers. Jenny believed that Havelock could have a hair salon that would cater to the diverse population that inhabits our lovely community. From the professional man or woman to the young military serviceperson, to stay at home moms and their children, she created an atmosphere that all could come to be treated with a professional service in a casual atmosphere.
After replacing six aging tanning beds with newer European models, she began to build the "Hot Rayz" part of Bladz and Rayz. Offering the hottest beds at the lowest prices, we introduced and set the standard that others would try to emulate and follow. At Bladz and Rayz our packages are designed to be the best value while still delivering world class results. She believed in giving the customer the best tan, at the lowest price. No hidden costs, no gimmicks, just hot beds, unsurpassed knowledge of tanning products and skin types, and the ability to give our customers that bronze goddess look, while treating your skin with the care it deserves. We're still open 7 days a week, and we still offer $25 one month unlimited tanning. Our tanning beds are only a few years old, and they are guaranteed to provide the safest and most economical way to expose your body to U.V. rays.
In 2006 a fire destroyed our original location, but we reopened less than 10 days later, directly across the street. We believe in our customers, and they believe in our products and services. Our customers are our friends, our neighbors and part of our extended "family", and we understnad they are the most important part of our business. Thank you to the many hundreds and thousands of customers we have had, we are and will always be proud to call you our friends.
